Motivisation

Got some things done today! :)

I made a felted book for my needles and pins, a 'get well' card ( I need someone to get sick now!) and 3 heart-bookmarks! working on a crochet summer scarf and a a crochet baby blanket for my friend who is having a baby in Sept.. It feels sooooo good to get some of my projects done! Here are some pictures.

The pink one I stiffened..not sure if I should do the others.

Beads N Paper!

These are pictures I found of somethings I made..A beaded necklace and bracelet out of paper beads - I made the paper beads with magazine paper and painted them with clear nail polish to give them a glossy look(resourceful) ...and I embellished them with some real beads I had...

... a baby shower invitation I made for a friend.... :)

While in NY this June, I saw so many creative things that were expensive! yet so simple and artsy, so I jotted down a few ideas and as soon as we got some doe rolling in, I want to buy some good materials to start making jewelry with silver/gold wires and gemstones/pearl beads...I can't wait that long to start doing something, so, since I have simple materials, I started practicing with what I have...this is my first try with floral wire and plastic beads...believe it or not, a similar ring I saw cost $10-$15 dls in Soho...
